All of Clemmons will have the same sample ballot this year, so that makes it easy!
There will be two early voting sites convenient to Clemmons this year: the Clemmons Library, and the Lewisville Library. You can vote at any early vote site in Forsyth County, so take a look at the full schedule and find an early vote site that works for you.
Some important things to remember about voting in the primary. First, the Democratic Party primary in NC is an "open" primary, which means that unaffiliated ("Independent") voters can participate. When you enter the polling site, the precinct judge will ask you which ballot you prefer. Unaffiliated voters have a choice between a Democratic, a Republican, or an Unaffiliated ballot. You can't mix and match; you have to commit to one or the other, but you do have a choice.
The second important thing to remember is that you don't have to vote in every contest. Even if you just vote for president, your ballot will count. So if you haven't been a primary voter in the past because it seemed to complicated, why not give it a try this year? Start with the contests that are most important to you, then work your way through the list from there. We've assembled some helpful info on several contests, and we'll be adding more links as the election draws closer.
